WITH the long awaited Live tour "The Secret Voice", Ian Cussick is back on stage in best form for 2017.

2012:

LAKE (Top German Rock Band) and Ian rejoin forces after some 40 years. He takes over the lead vocals for their

"Wings Of Freedom" album - sales are good especially at Live venues, with critical acclaim from the press.

2011: Ian performs a short promotional tour with ex-TOTO singer Bobby Kimball in Europe.

2009:

"Children Of The Future" a hymn for humanity is written and produced by Ian and featured Live on the Europe-wide "ARDWunschkonzert" television show.

The show is beamed out to over 350 million homes...

2008:

Ian starts his own Media Licensing Company with business associates from Austin, Texas.

The company Iceberg Media LLC working with the international Cirque du Soleil, they use several of his songs in their Live performances...

The CD "Urban Midnight" is released through Iceberg Media LLC which also features the song "Powerboat Racing" written by Ian for the World Championship Powerboat Races.

2007 - Present:

...Nick Oosterhuis - Dutch keyboard & guitarist/composer/producer - and Ian collaborate with song writing with the intention of a ́joint venture ́ album release.

They also release "Dunrott" - a musical venture into the Celtic folk repertoire...(available on all media download platforms)

2000:

Ian records his world hit "Meet Me By The Water" in a Duo version with the successful German vocalist Michaela

Ahlrichs to critical acclaim...

1999:

The hit song "I Won ́t Let You Down" is produced by Martin Langer & Sönke Hardt featuring SHY MOON and Ian

singing the mantra-like chorus. Again to critical acclaim...

1998:

German film score composer Detlef Petersen writes two songs together with Ian Cussick for his latest international movie

"Das Mambo Spiel" (The Mambo Game) and has a successful premier at the famous Berlinale Film Festival in Berlin.

1995:

Hollywood star, Mark Wahlberg and Ian team up with a "rap dedication" to world boxing champion Darius Michalczewski. Mark Wahlberg - also known as rapper Marky Mark - collaborate well, Ian singing the high chorus parts, while

Mark Wahlberg does his rap thang...

The song sells over 200 thousand copies in Europe. Still on the movie front - Ian works again with Detlef Petersen in writing two songs for Detlef Bucks movie "Männerpension" (Men ́s Hotel) which opens to great acclaim and success throughout Europe.

1993:

"Necromancer" is released - a collection of mystical themed compostions.

 

1992:

"Meet Me By The Water" is re-recorded and released as remake ́92

- the radio stations welcome the new version with open arms.

1991:

The "Forever album is released featuring the hit song ""Runaway Train" inspired by the movie of the same name...

An excellent movie featurette can be seen on youtube.

RCA/BMG release a Best Cuts album of previous material.

1990:

"Live at the Logo" (Hamburg) is released on CD.

1988:

Ian performs with Maggie Reilly (Maggie being the lead vocalist on Mike Oldfields hit "Moonlight Shadow") together

with the Munich Symphony Orchestra performing the Beatles Symphonic Rock Project.

Produced by the Beatles "5th man" Klaus Voormann.

The show is beamed out to a Europe-wide audience..."We Can Work It Out" is performed by Ian for the

huge tv show "Na Siehste" again using the Munich Symphony Orchestra.

Rene Froger (Dutch singer) has a hit in the Netherlands with one of Ian ́s songs; "Who Dares Wins"...

Ian plays together with keyboard friend Jens Skwirblies to a sold-out concert at the world famous Friedrichstadtpalast in

Karl-Marx-Stadt in East Germany shortly before the"fall-of-the-wall" a year later...

1987:

"New Baccara" a Spanish girl vocal Duo land yet anothermassive hit with Ian ́s compostion "Call Me Up" which he wrote

specifically for them...it sells over 300 thousand copiesEurope-wide and goes Top 5 in Spain, and Top 40 in Germany.

 

1986:

The Jubeck Festival sees Ian onstage with Joe Cocker, Status Quo, ...Mr. Cussick having top billing!

1985:

Is a good year for Live appearances using British musicians from the Cliff Richard Band / Gary Numan / The Hollies &

Eartha Kitt... Ian in onstage with this fine troupe headlining many open air perfomances, especially the Berlin Technology Fair.

The album "The Great Escape" is released...

1984:

"Danger In The Air" album is released in Europe and the USA by A & M Records.

"The Supernatural" single is featured on the newly formed MTV.

1982:

"Wonderlove" is released as a musical homage to Stevie Wonder... sales are good going Top 40 in Germany.

1981:

"Meet Me By The Water" is released from the "Hypertension" album - "Meet Me..." sells over 3 million copies

across the following years, has thousands of airplays worldwide, and becomes Ians "signature song"...being also featured in several movie soundtracks.

1980:

Nashville next and Ian records "Right Through The Heart"at the world famous Quadrophonic Studios in Nashville using top

session players (David Briggs, Jon Goin, Tony Brown) mainlyfrom the Elvis Presley entourage. Top German session guitarist Peter Weihe also accompanies Ian for this historical recording...produced by Tony Brown who went on to become

president of MCA records, USA.

 

1977:

Ian ́s first solo album "Cussick" is released on the Metronome label - eight solo albums will follow

("Right Through The Heart" - "Hypertension" - "Danger In The Air" - "The Great Escape" - "Treasure Island" - "Forever" - "Necromancer" ) throughout the years including many compilation and greatest hits albums.

1976:

"The Seventh Step" and "Tollhouse" features Ian as a session bass player and vocalist for Dirk Steffens two solo

albums...Heavy Rock at its best!

1975:

Puts Ian Cussick firmly on the musical map of the world asthe male lead voice with "Shame Shame Shame" (Linda & The

Funky Boys) together with his female counterpart Linda Fieldsfrom the USA.

The single sells a massive 6.5 million units Europe-wide going Top 5 in Germany.

Produced by old colleague Detlef Petersen, L & T F B went on to have two more massive hits (Sold My Rockin Roll) & (Climbing The Steps Of Love) which all went Top 5 in the UK charts...

1973:

Melody Maker has an advert announcing..."Singer wanted for German Top 40 band..." - Ian takes part in the auditions and

lands the part as the new lead vocalist for the Tornado ́s Top 40 band in Germany...the rest as they say is history.

1972:

Forever Amber is the Scottish band where Ian plays bass and is lead vocalist. They play the whole of Scotland - especially the US Air Force bases where they become welcomed guests...

 

1970:

Souled & Healed is Ians first ́real band ́ with school friends playing mainly Tamla Motown soul with a sprinkling of pop/rock...

1962:

A young eight year old Ian gets his first guitar and is obsessed with the world of music...the Beatles are on the horizon

as are many other top names of the Sixties.

The sky is the limit.
